How the Commons works

In News on December 28, 2011 at 4:29 pm

This site celebrates and documents activities funded through Worcester State University’s Center for Teaching and Learning. In the 2011-2012 academic year, there are four new initiatives: Faculty Collaborative Teaching Grants (CTGs), Faculty/Librarian Learning Communities (FLCs), Microgrants for new faculty/librarian-driven initiatives that need small amounts of startup or seed money, and Undergraduate Research (UR) stipends for summer 2012. Click on any of these above to learn more or to apply for funding.

These initiatives are sponsored by three distinct funding streams: CTGs and FLCs from the Davis Grant for Integrative Learning, Microgrants from the Alden Endowment, and Undergraduate Research from the Strategic Planning Trust Fund through Academic Affairs.

This site will also highlight the January 2012 and May 2012 CTL Faculty Institutes. It’s our hope that the Commons will become a vibrant virtual public space for the WSU faculty community now and into the future.
